Background
Passerelles numériques (PN), a non-profit organization, is dedicated to enabling highly disadvantaged youths, through their abilities and their commitment, to access education and technical and vocational training, in the sector of Information Technology. We work to build strong employability which will allow them and their families to sustainably escape poverty, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries.
Established in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam, Passerelles numériques currently trains around 600 students and employs around 100 people based in these three countries including a small team in France.
Passerelles numériques relies on the financial and skills sponsorship of several corporate partners such as Accenture, Econocom, Microsoft and Société Générale and also receives support from individual donors.
In Cambodia, Passerelles numériques started its mission in 2005, with a training center based in Phnom Penh. PN Cambodia offers a two-year vocational training program for young people in precarious situations. Today, PN Cambodia (PNC) trains 148 students and graduated 1551 young disadvantaged since 2005
Context and mission
The Professional Life volunteer under the supervision of English and Professional Life coordinator will be mainly working to support the English and Professional Life team with Professional Life curriculum development and lesson updates in collaboration with Pedagogy Advisor and English & Professional Life Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities
Training development
We are currently building a new 2-year Professional Life training which will include the following learning objectives:
- Soft skills
- Learn effectively, work in teams, manage a project, communicate, present
- Career skills
- Explore what they like, what the market offers and build their career
- Develop a network, be aware of the professional environment
- Budget management and entrepreneurship
Your mission will consist of designing the teaching material for terms 2 and 3:
Designing teaching material consists of:
• Defining learning objectives for each chapter and sessions
• Creating games, exercises, project to allow the students to learn by doing
• Designing evaluation schemes with both formative and summative assessments
• Support the trainers to master their teaching skills and understand the teaching material (class observations, weekly meetings)
Terms 2 and 3 learning objectives includes:

▪ Assign and follow tasks – using a management tool
▪ Understand leadership styles and make decisions

◦ Develop a plan to improve your skills as you complete your education.

Skills and experience
- Bachelor degree in English, Business Administration/Management or equivalent degrees,
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Some experiences with soft skills training and evaluation, project management and course development
- Motivation to work for a social project in an innovative and international environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues
- Autonomous and well-organized person
- Ability to work in team
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Possessing reporting skills is an asset
