Passerelles numériques (PN), a non-profit organization, is dedicated to enabling highly disadvantaged youths, through their abilities and their commitment, to access education and vocational training, in the sector of Information Technology. We work to build strong employability which will allow them and their families to sustainably escape poverty, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries.
Established in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam, Passerelles numériques currently trains around 500 students and employs around 100 people based in these three countries including a small team in France.
Passerelles numériques relies on the financial and skills sponsorship of several corporate partners such as Accenture, Econocom and Microsoft and also receives support from individual donors.
In the Philippines, Passerelles numériques started its mission in 2009, with a training center based in Cebu, in the central region of the Visayas. PN Philippines offers a two years and a half vocational training program for young people from underserved backgrounds.
Mission
The Alumni and Fundraising Officer will be assigned to support the External Relations Department of Passerelles numériques Philippines Foundation, Inc. Additionally, he/she will support the global fundraising team.
The Alumni and Fundraising Officer is the one in charge of increasing the individual donation efforts of the center in the Philippines and in charge of monitoring the PN Alumni contributions and projects. He/she will also support fundraising activities locally and globally. The Fundraising Officer will be reporting to the ERO Manager, working on the sustainability and visibility of the PN program.
Objectives
- Increase the fundraising activities in PN Philippines particularly individual donations and alumni contribution to increase financial sustainability of the organization.
- Support in the development of communication plan aligning with Fundraising Strategy
- Support fundraising prospection activities and provide regular reports on the status of the project for proposals and grant reports and with the support of the External Relations Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
In the framework of this objective, duties, and responsibilities are set to enhance the financial sustainability of PN Philippines (PNP) and support in increasing fundraising strategy for all PN with actions such as:
Fundraising
- Organize, maintain and manage an existing and prospective list of partners and
- grants using SalesForce and/or Spreadsheet.
- Develop plans and strategies for individual, public and corporate sponsorship/donations
- Support in monitoring PN Alumni Payables and Solidarity Act Projects
- Support in organizing events for partners, donors and stakeholders
- Write reports to meet deadlines and submitting further applications for funding with the support of the External Relations Manager through grant and project proposals
- Ensure that fundraising activities are known to target participants and take charge of visibility materials during fundraising activities such as but not limited to PN booth, banner, flyers, etc.
Alumni Relations
- Serve as the primary liaison between the alumni network and PN.
- Cover success stories of PN Alumni for the Wall of Fame and reporting purposes.
- Implementation of alumni docuseries and other alumni engagement activities.
- Initiate projects focusing on increasing alumni engagement
Internal communication
- Participate in knowledge management (update our drives and tools) to share appropriate content and tools with the rest of PN communication teams.
- Update organizational chart, partners wall and students walls.
- Documentation of all activities in PN through photos, videos, and articles.
- Assist in the publication of communication materials
Others
- Support activities of other departments (selection, education, training, job placement, events, etc.)
- Support PN Global Projects (Video editing, layouts, SDG promotion,etc.)
- Perform other necessary task assigned by External Relations Manager
Skills and experience
EDUCATION
At least 4 years college graduate, preferably Mass Communications, development Communications, or any social science and development course
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- At least 1-year professional experience in communications work or journalism, photo editing, and video making. Fresh graduates are also welcome.
- NGO, Business or IT background is a plus
- Background in grant writing and management is a plus
- Experience in handling social development projects
SKILLS
- Excellent English verbal communication and writing skills with the ability to produce concise and creative bids
- Basic knowledge in Google Suite tools and Microsoft Office
- Very good organizational skills
- Ability to plan and prioritize own workload with minimum supervision
- Skill in photography and video editing is a plus

- Six (6) months probationary with the possibility of a regular local contract
