This is one of those great ideas that flourish around the web of solidarity and it seems to be a new way to make advertisement really “useful” for Passerelles Numeriques.
Indeed, advert already funds most of our TV stations, our radio, Internet services and even some phone calls… Today it also funds non-profits organisations involved in sustainable development.
Better than that, it funds these organisations using the most common reflex among Internet users: googling.
The clever mechanism of Veosearch is based on a sharing of advertising revenue earned by the clicks of its users: for every search conducted, the engine distributes 50% of its revenue to the associations registered.
More solidarity, with the same efficiency. This service will provide exactly the same answers as a Google, a Yahoo or a Kelkoo… Veosearch gets the authorization to use these sites’ databases.
Since the beginning: 40,000 Euros were collected for NGOs. Users choose associations they want to support while using the site and here we go: what was a daily life habit also becomes an act of solidarity. It is simple, clever, supportive, without constraints. Maybe one day we would also fund NGOs while taking a shower or cooking pasta, in any case… Passerelles Numériques had to highlight this great new initiative of digital solidarity.
How to support Passerelles Numériques on Veosearch: 1 - Visit www.veosearch.com 2 - Create an account to be able to choose Passerelles Numériques as the beneficiary of your clicks (you can choose several associations). The operation takes only 3 minutes. 3 - From then on, whenever you do your research via Veosearch on the same computer, you will support Passerelles Numériques automatically, without having to reconnect on each visit (note that it is possible to add Veosearch’s search bar directly in your browser: you will find instructions at the bottom of the homepage).
