a new roof at CIST
Picture of this month
Through a charity event organized in France by "Charity Angels", 35,000 Euros could be collected to finance the extension of our school in Cambodia. The construction is now complete! The partial covering of our terrasse roof offers 2 additional rooms of 120 sqm and 60 sqm. This enables us to deliver lectures simultaneously to several classes and to carry exams with up to 100 candidates in good conditions. A thousand thanks to Charity Angels!

Education is the key to any economic activity and to any development

At an individual level, everywhere training is the passport required for employment. In a poor country the creation of a qualified job means an income that is significantly above the average, which first takes a whole family out of poverty, then impacts a community. It is also an asset for the country’s growth, which happens at the exact pace of skills development.

Since 1990, to assess the progress of nations the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) has adopted the Human Development Index (HDI), which takes into account the global education conditions.

However education is not only a necessary factor for development. The essential Education for All declaration recalls in its preamble that “education is a fundamental right for all, women and men, at all ages and throughout the world”. But this right is openly transgressed in many countries, either that direct or indirect costs forbid access to education, or that education quality does not match the needs of society and individuals.

Our solidarity duty starts with better sharing the access to a quality education.

The foundation is a tool

The foundation does not undertake anything on its own; it selects and supports projects, guaranteeing its donors a scrupulous follow-up of the use and impact of their donations. For Passerelles Numériques, as for some similar charities in which we trust, the foundation can become a funding tool, thanks especially to the enlarged tax rebate opportunities that it opens.

When these charities - as Passerelles Numériques - are very ambitious, the Foundation can become a means to grow a capital so as over time to leverage their action capacity.

Why Amanjaya?

In Sanskrit, the sacred language of India, Amanjaya can be translated as « the victory of peace ». As Mohammed Yunus pointed out when receiving the Peace Nobel Prize, poverty is a threat for peace. Fighting against poverty with education, we are contributing to the world peace.

Tax incentives

The Amanjaya Foundation being under the aegis of Fondation de France, benefits from the « public utility » official status of the latter; for this reason, according to French law donations to the foundation entitle the donor to:

-   A rebate on income tax equal to 66% of the donation, up to 20% of taxable income.
Thus, the actual cost of a 3.000 € donation is only 1020 € for the donor

-   Since 2007, thanks to the new TEPA law, a “solidarity tax on fortune” rebate equal to 75% of the donation, up to 50.000 € tax.
Thus, the actual cost of a 40.000 € donation is only 10.000 € for the donor

Additional incentives can be cumulated with the above ones when transferable securities (actions, etc.) are donated – it is recommended to consult a notary about that, as well as to consider a legacy with the Foundation.
