Consolidate current business, open the future This is the fourth year starting at CIST in Phnom-Penh. Like every year in July, most of our teachers and managers are on the road, to select and recruit everywhere across the country, those young guys and girls who most need that training school, for a better start in their life. During July, we enjoyed the visit of sponsor managers from ECS and Accenture. They will tell you in this newsletter, how much they fell in love with Cambodia, of course, but also why they wish to renew their support and commitment to help and develop Passerelles Numeriques. With them, I have seen a fast growing training Center, with a training curriculum matching market needs, and that we look to adapt to changing needs. New programming training sessions are a good example of that reactivity The school that we visited is dynamic and alive, because it goes on renewing and enriching its training content. It is alive overall, because it offers our young students an effective entry to real life, fed by cultural diversity and multilingual background of our teachers and managers. We thus look after open-minded students, who can inherit strong human values. They may not know it, but in their future professional life, these core values will shape their behaviour, which will turn out to be as important as their technical knowledge. Thanks to all of you, and especially to Gerard, for the initiatives take in this area. Passerelles Numeriques is facing a double challenge. First we want to consolidate and reinforce the CIST program, while keeping the initial high quality, motivation and enthusiasm, year after year. Second we want to extend our impact, launch new projects focused on the poorest and most disadvantaged young people. This newsletter will introduce our development initiatives in the Philippines, and in Vietnam. Staying humble, our aim will be to serve and help there most disadvantaged young people, to provide them with similar opportunities, similar hope in the future as their peers.
